Recommended Book List
Looking for a good book to read? Here are some of the best I've read over the years. As you may have noticed, I have listed a few different languages. My recommendation has always been to read the book in its original, but most of the time you can still find a decent translation.
English Books | German Books | Portuguese Books

English Books
- Adams, Richard. Watership Down - One of my favorite books. It is a must read even if you don't like rabbits.
- Card, Orson Scott. Prentice Alvin - The third book in the 'Alvin the Maker' series. All of his books are great, but this one was especially notable. Check out the official OSC Homepage.

- Moon, William "Least Heat". Blue Highways - A unique
perspective on the US as seen by travelling around the lesser known roads.

- Hesse, Hermann. Narziß und Goldmund - One of the best books I've ever read. I highly recommend it.
- Mann, Thomas. Buddenbrooks - One of Mann's best.
- Mann, Thomas. Der Zauberberg - A classic, though it can be slow at times, it is a must in order to understand
German literature.
- Mann, Thomas. Die Bekenntnisse de Hochstaplers Felix Krull - One of Mann's lighter books which makes for fun reading. It's actually quite humorous.
- Nietzsche, Friedrich. Also sprach Zarathustra - Definitely not light reading, but it makes for interesting discussions.
